Information About P.RP Injection for Knee Pain Relief

Preparation Before Treatment:
- Rest: Ensure 6-8 hours of adequate sleep before the procedure.

- Alcohol: Avoid alcohol consumption for at least 2-3 days before the procedure.
- NSAIDs: Refrain from using NSAIDs before and after the P.RP injection for 1 week.

- Illness: If you are ill, it is advisable to recover fully before the procedure to avoid any risk of infection in the bloodstream.
Post-Treatment Care:
- Pain and Discomfort: You may experience pain or stiffness at the injection site. Apply ice for about 48 hours and take pain relief medication like paracetamol if needed.
- Medication: Avoid steroid medications and anti-inflammatory drugs for at least 2 weeks. Paracetamol can be taken for pain relief if necessary, and ice packs can help with discomfort.
- Activity: Avoid activities that may cause impact or strain on the injection site.
