What is บท็อกซ์?
botulinum To.xin (บท็อกซ์) prevents the function of muscles and allows muscles to relax.
At MekoBFill we use บท็อกซ์ brand Aestox, which is the top-selling บท็อกซ์ imported from South Korea.
The บท็อกซ์ is injected directly into the wrinkles in the forehead, into crow's feet (on both sides), or between the eyebrows, where the skin folds naturally. The บท็อกซ์ prevents formation of new wrinkles.
When will you see results?
Results will begin to appear approximately three to seven days after the injections, with best results appearing after two weeks. Results last as long as four to six months, depending on the individual.
How often will you need the injections?
Whenever you start to feel that your muscles are returning to normal, the injections can be repeated.
Procedure
- Remove all make-up and skincare products from the injection site.
- Use a cold compress on the injection site.
- The procedure takes 10 minutes.
Preparing for the Procedure
- Avoid drinking alcohol at least 24 hours before the procedure.
- Stop using products with vitamin A and AHA as well as facial scrubs for one to two days before the procedure.
- Stop taking NSAIDs, such as Brufen, Naproxen, and Motrin, vitamin E, fish oil, and gingko at least one week before the procedure to limit bruising.
- If you have a history of oral herpes, please let your doctor know before the procedure.
Post-Procedure Care
- You may use skincare products and make-up after the procedure, but apply gently and avoid too much pressure at the injection sites.
- Move the muscles at the injection sites in the one to two hours after the procedure to help the บท็อกซ์ be more efficiently absorbed.
- Don't lie on your back or stomach in the first three to four hours after the procedure.
- You may use a cold compress if there is any redness or bruising.
- Avoid any facial treatments, massages or laser treatments as well as using the sauna in the first two weeks after the procedure.
Side Effects
After the injection you may notice some bruising, but this will disappear on its own within two to three days. You may use a cold compress if you experience any redness or bruising.
