About This Service
1. Acne Extraction (Comedone Extraction)
Used for non-inflammatory acne like whiteheads or blackheads.
Process:
Cleansing – The face is cleansed to remove dirt and oil.
Steaming or Softening – Steam or a softening agent is applied to open pores and soften the acne.
Sterilizing tools – A sterile comedone extractor is used.
Extraction – Gently pressing to remove the contents of the pimple.
Cleaning again – The area is cleaned with an antiseptic.
Post-treatment care – Apply anti-inflammatory or antibacterial cream.
Note: Should be done by professionals to avoid scarring or infection.
2. Acne Injection (Cortisone Injection)
Used for large, inflamed acne like cystic acne or nodules.
Process:
Cleansing the skin – To prevent infection.
Injection of corticosteroid – A diluted corticosteroid (like triamcinolone) is injected directly into the pimple.
Rapid reduction – The pimple usually flattens within 1–3 days.
