About This Service
What does this price cover?
- Lung health screening using a Spirometry machine, including the following tests:
1. Medical history and general physical examination by a respiratory specialist.
2. Chest X-ray.
3. Sputum collection to check for chronic infections (AFB Stain).
4. Lung function test using a spirometer.
- Doctor's fee.
Additional costs:
- Hospital service fee of 300 THB.
- This service is for Thai citizens only.
- Service duration is approximately 1-2 hours, depending on the number of patients.
- Results are available on the same day, approximately 45-60 minutes after the test.
- The doctor will inform you of the results.
- If you have a chest X-ray film, please bring it with you.
Preparation before the service:
- Avoid large meals for at least 2 hours before the test. Fasting from food and drinks is not required before the test.
- Avoid using bronchodilators. (Short-acting inhalers such as Ventolin or Berodual) for approximately 4-6 hours.
- Avoid oral and long-acting inhalers such as Seretide, Symbicort, or Spiriva for approximately 12 hours, depending on your doctor's instructions.
- Avoid exercise for at least 30 minutes before the examination.
- Do not wear clothing that is tight around the chest and abdomen.
