Preparation Before Sculptra Injections
• Ensure you have a healthy body and no serious medical conditions.
• Stop taking painkillers, including aspirin, at least two weeks before the injection.
• Stop taking vitamins that thin the blood. Stopping the flow of fluids, such as vitamin E and fish oil, is not recommended.
• Avoid alcohol 1-3 days before the injection.
• Pregnant or breastfeeding women are not eligible for the treatment.
How to take care of yourself after Sculptra injections:
• After the injection, you can resume your normal activities, but you should apply a cold compress to the injection site for the first 24 hours to reduce swelling. Some bruising may occur, which will resolve on its own within 3-5 days.
• For best results, massage your entire face using the Triple 5 method for 5 minutes, 5 times a day, for 5 consecutive days to allow the PLLA to spread evenly across the face and stimulate collagen in the targeted areas.
• Avoid wearing makeup, saunas, and steam rooms for 24 hours.
• Avoid exposure to sunlight and UV light until the swelling and redness subside.
• Do not undergo injections or other facial treatments for approximately 2-4 weeks after the treatment.
