Dengue fever is caused by infection with the dengue virus, which has four strains: DENV-1, DENV-2, DENV-3, and DENV-4. Each strain has a different level of severity. The disease is transmitted by Aedes mosquitoes. Symptoms include high fever (38-40 degrees Celsius) for about 2-7 days, redness of the eyes and face, loss of appetite, and lethargy. Some people may develop a rash or petechiae (small red spots) on the body, arms, and legs, along with abdominal pain, bloating, loss of appetite, nausea, and vomiting. There may also be vomiting of blood and black stools. In severe cases, there may be cold hands and feet, decreased urination, and the patient may go into shock. What is the Dengue Vaccine? The dengue vaccine is a vaccine used to prevent dengue fever, which is caused by infection with the dengue virus and transmitted by Aedes mosquitoes. Dengue infection can cause illness ranging from mild to severe, even leading to death. How many types of dengue vaccines are there? The dengue vaccine (Qdenga Vaccine), a two-dose vaccine, is a new generation live attenuated vaccine manufactured in Germany. The attenuated virus in the vaccine stimulates the body's immune system to produce antibodies against the dengue virus. It is highly effective (up to 80.2%) in preventing all dengue strains and up to 90.4% in preventing hospitalization, which are considered high figures. The Qdenga dengue vaccine requires two injections, administered 3 months apart (at months 0 and 3), for individuals aged 4-60 years. It can be given to those who have or have not previously been infected with dengue. Contraindications for the Dengue Vaccine:
- Because the dengue vaccine is a live attenuated vaccine, it is contraindicated in individuals with the following factors: 
- Hypersensitivity to the active ingredient, any excipients, or to a previously administered dengue vaccine.
-  Individuals with congenital or acquired cellular immune responses, including those receiving immunosuppressive therapy such as chemotherapy or high-dose systemic corticosteroids. Within 4 weeks prior to vaccination:
- Individuals with symptomatic HIV infection or asymptomatic HIV infection with evidence of immunodeficiency.
- Pregnant women. 
- Breastfeeding women.
