I had a wonderful experience at the massage shop — the staff were professional, and I left feeling completely relaxed.

Pros: Friendliness, accommodation \n\nCons: ignored my massage request and my injured knee was in pain... 🙄 \n\nI accidentally went to the wrong location, but since it\u0027s a chain and run by the same owner, they were kind enough to let me redeem my GoWabi there. \n\nThe front desk lady was super friendly, kind, and professional. \n\nI asked her to please let the massage therapist know to not touch my knees and to not use elbows during my massage. \n\nShe assured me that she let the massage therapist know. I\u0027m not sure where the communication fell thru, but the massage therapist used her elbows. When I asked her to please stop, she agreed and also said no knees. I didn\u0027t realize at the time she thought I asked her to not touch my elbow. I kept trying to tell her, but she didn\u0027t understand me. I should\u0027ve gotten up to get my phone and use google translate but instead I silently suffered on one side of my body until I couldn\u0027t take it anymore on the other side. \n\nThe massage therapist tried her best, but somewhere the communication was lost and I was the one in pain for a service I paid for, which is unfortunate and unfair. \n\nEventually she understood me and part of the right side of my body was in less pain... \n\nEven though she didn\u0027t touch my knees when I was facing up, she pressed on my legs hard, which hurt my knee when I was lying down. I have sensitive knees due to a ligament tear. So most people won\u0027t have the same problems as I do, but it\u0027s still disappointing that massage therapists aren\u0027t understanding how the body works. If the knee is sensitive to pressure and everything is interconnected as they should know, why the eff are they pressing down on me so hard??? \n\nI didnt even bother to tell her because she didn\u0027t understand me language wise and as a massage therapist, she wasn\u0027t using common sense. I spent the lower body part of my massage face down with my knee up, so I was tensed, which isn\u0027t optimal for a massage. Even doing that she didn\u0027t seem to understand that I was in pain even after I asked her to be softer multiple times. Sadly, she wasn\u0027t observant, kind but not observant. \n\nWhen she worked on each leg, I lifted my other leg up to alleviate the discomfort. After saying no knees, softer, and my lower body is being lifted so I\u0027m not on the massage table... how do you not know what\u0027s going on? \n\nI feel like this is common sense! \n\nFortunately most reviews are positive and hopefully most clients have a positive experience. But if you have a knee injury, I recommend you stay away for your own safety. Yes, communication barrier is part of the problem. But common sense, observation, and awareness of the body human as a massage therapist should transcend any language barriers. \n\nI hate to call out a massage therapist, but I want to keep others safe. The name of the woman who gave me the massage is Molly. She has black long hair. \n\nI\u0027m considering going back to this location and try their other location at the hotel. But I\u0027ll be showing them this review in hopes for another experience. \n\nThis one is Sukhumvit 3/1, not the hotel location. If you decide to give this place a try, please go to the right location.
